In the US and most democracies, freedom of religion is valued. We are free to be Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, atheist, agnostic, etc. And to be sure, our nation is better for those freedoms.
However, over the years, that freedom has led to growing secularism, or basically the lack of religion. Instead of focusing and living for any certain belief, more and more just live for themselves.
And as more and more resort to this kind of thinking, some would say our religious freedoms are being put at risk as if they don’t matter anymore.
