Detective Charged After Attempting to Capture Fleeing Suspect

As we all know, police chases can quickly get out of hand. In a case in Michigan, a fleeing suspect was hit by an unmarked police car and later died from his injuries. That officer is now being charged with murder.

Detective Sergeant Brian Keely was driving the car, attempting to capture Samuel Sterling as he fled on foot. Despite being chased with lights, sirens, and the whole nine yards, Sterling still tried to evade law enforcement.

Unfortunately, when Keely tried to turn his vehicle to block Sterling’s path, he accidentally hit the man. Liberal Governor Grethen Whitmer and AG Dana Nessel have turned it into a racial issue, blaming Keely for being “grossly negligent.”
