Alex Jones to Lose Infowars

Alex Jones, a prominent right-wing figure and conspiracy theorist, is facing the potential shutdown of his Infowars media empire, which he has built into a lucrative business over the last 25 years. A bankruptcy judge in Houston is currently deliberating whether to liquidate Jones' assets to cover the $1.5 billion he owes from lawsuits related to his false claims that the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre was a hoax.

The legal proceedings commenced Friday morning in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, where Jones' attorneys contested allegations of illegal asset diversion. Amidst the bankruptcy, Jones has informed his audience on the web and radio that the parent company of Infowars, Free Speech Systems, might soon cease operations.

Speaking to the press before the hearing, Jones expressed a somber outlook for Infowars, stating, “This is probably the end of Infowars here very, very soon. If not today, in the next few weeks or months.” He added, “But it’s just the beginning of my fight against tyranny.”
