World Leaders Show Support to Biden

While typically restrained in their public comments due to diplomatic norms, several international figures have openly praised Biden's contributions, particularly in strengthening NATO and supporting democratic values worldwide. Germany's Chancellor Olaf Scholz commended Biden, stating, "Transatlantic cooperation is close, NATO is strong and the USA is a good and reliable partner." This sentiment underscores the importance of Biden's role in bolstering alliances that had wavered under previous administrations.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer reflected on Biden's decision, noting it was made based on what he "believes is in the best interests of the American people." This highlights the personal and national considerations that influenced Biden's shocking exit from the race.

In Asia, Taiwanese lawmaker Wang Ting-yu expressed gratitude for Biden's steadfast support, including crucial military aid, which he simply "appreciated." This acknowledgment points to the strategic partnerships Biden has fostered, which have been pivotal for many smaller nations in their geopolitical struggles.

Amidst these reactions, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will visit Washington to personally thank Biden. Netanyahu stated the trip will be "to see President Biden, whom I've known for over 40 years. This will be an opportunity to thank him for the things he did for Israel in the war and during his long and distinguished career in public service."
