Doug Emhoff Starts to Join the Spotlight

Kamala Harris is married, not that you’d realize it. She didn’t take her husband’s last name. Doug Emhoff, however, is the Second Gentleman, and if Harris did surprisingly win the election, he’d be the First Gentleman.

Naturally, there have been quite a few comments about her being the one to wear the pants in the relationship. The couple has recently faced quite a few sexist and misogynistic remarks.

He’s finally coming into the limelight – and he’s even been campaigning for her in Maine. Perhaps the amusing part is that he’s even tackling some of her roundtables about abortion – because nothing is quite as fitting as a man arguing women’s reproductive rights.
