Woke Leftist Oakland Mayor Demanded To Quit Immediately As City Descends Into Crime-Infested Chaos!

In a bold move reflecting deep-seated frustrations, the Oakland Police Officer's Association has publicly demanded Mayor Sheng Thao's resignation. The call for her immediate departure stems from what the union describes as a series of leadership failures that have left the city grappling with rampant crime and a looming budget crisis, further exacerbated by the distraction of a recent FBI raid.

During a press conference, Huy Nguyen, the president of the Oakland Police Officer's Association, articulated the union's grievances, stating, "We are asking Thao to resign immediately for a lot of the failures in this city, going from crime, the budget crisis, the distraction of the FBI raid that prevents our ability to function as a city."

Nguyen painted a grim picture of the daily reality for Oakland's residents, emphasizing the dire state of public safety. "Every day, our citizens feel the tragedies. That they cannot exit their own home or walk to the streets of Oakland, calling 911 and not getting the services they need," he said, highlighting the critical under-resourcing of the police force. "We don't have the resources," Nguyen added, pointing to the inadequate response capabilities that plague the department due to understaffing.

In response to the union's charges, Mayor Thao released a video statement later that day, defending her administration's record on crime reduction and accusing the police union of politicizing the issue. "It's unfortunate that the POA is obviously playing politics," Thao remarked. She underscored her administration's commitment to public safety, noting that her budget had prioritized it by funding new police academies and saving 80 police jobs.
