Small Businesses Attack Walz’s Track Record

At the bustling local fair, Diane Kruger, a small business owner specializing in Scentsy products, severely criticized Democratic vice presidential nominee Gov. Tim Walz, labeling him "the worst governor we've ever had in Minnesota."

Kruger, visibly frustrated while tending to her booth, shared her discontent with Fox News Digital: "He has ruined our state. I am angry and disgusted." Her grievances are rooted in the impact of Walz's policies since his tenure began, particularly during the legislative control known as the trifecta. "Him and the Democrats, once they got the trifecta in the House and Senate and the governor, they have absolutely ruined our state. We are now probably more communist than California," she claimed.

The impact on her business during the COVID-19 pandemic was particularly harsh. "During COVID year of 2020, my business income fell by at least 50% because when he shut down the economy in Minnesota in March, I couldn't do any house parties. I couldn't do any shows. I couldn't do any events," Kruger recounted. The recovery has been slow and painful, with lingering effects still felt today.

The sentiment of dissatisfaction was echoed by other small business owners and residents across Minnesota. Rep. Pete Stauber noted that many businesses have chosen to leave or not expand in Minnesota due to the fiscal policies under Walz, including what he described as the nation's highest income tax rate at 10% and a significant tax increase following a $19 billion surplus.
