Trump Targets Harris with Fake Photo and Bold Accusations Ahead of DNC

In a striking move, former President Trump took to Truth Social and X to share a fabricated image depicting Vice President Kamala Harris at a supposed communist event in Chicago, just days before the Democratic National Convention kicks off. This latest attack adds to Trump's ongoing campaign against Harris, whom he has labeled a communist, dubbing her “Comrade Kamala.”

During a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Trump unleashed a barrage of personal and political criticisms aimed at Harris. He stated, “After causing catastrophic inflation, Comrade Kamala announced that she wants to institute socialist price controls.” This rhetoric was echoed in a fundraising email sent out by his campaign on Monday, which warned, “Comrade Kamala and Dangerously Liberal Tim Walz will burn this country to the ground!”

Trump's comments were in response to a recent economic proposal from Harris, which aims to combat price gouging. The plan calls for the “first-ever federal ban” on such practices, particularly concerning food and groceries. While the proposal lacks detailed implementation strategies, it emphasizes the need for regulations to prevent companies from “unfairly exploit consumers to run up excessive profits on food and groceries.” It also seeks to empower the Federal Trade Commission and state officials to investigate and penalize corporations that violate these rules.

As the 2024 election cycle heats up, discussions surrounding artificial intelligence (AI) and misinformation have become increasingly relevant. Earlier this year, Trump supporters circulated misleading AI-generated images of Trump with Black voters. Additionally, Trump has accused Harris of using AI to artificially inflate the size of her rally crowds, although he provided no evidence to support this claim.
