The Taliban Finally Found a Use for Women

For the most part, women in Afghanistan are told to remain covered, quiet, and at home. Thanks to the Taliban rule, many women are not allowed to be a constant part of society.

The rules are changing a bit, and the Taliban is finding that some women can be used in order to “handle” other women. 

The Taliban has been cracking down on women, and the law means that they will be more stringent when enforcing the law. As one official explained, “Some women were arrested and released only on the condition that they inform the ministry of any illegal activity they observe from the women they follow.” 

Now, women are being forced to work at the Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (MPVPV), and the Taliban wants to hire even more women so that they can spy on others, allowing the law to be enforced even more greatly.
